You say Age of Grace and I say Torah is our boundary.
We all agree.
Romans 6:1-2a
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.
Well how do we know what sin is once we are Born Again that we should be not doing? Or for that matter what we should be doing.
The Scriptures and the Holy Spirit teach us right from wrong.
I have no doubt that Yeshua's words:
Matthew 22:35-40
Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Yeshua said unto him, Thou shalt love YHWH thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 23:23-24
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
or in Acts 15:20
But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Are just summarizing the Torah, the laws actually found in Scripture of course not the other laws that may have been added by man.
The Torah just goes into further detail. For example if someone kills one of your cows what should be done about it. And there are instructions for restitution and told to consider was it an accident and these types of things.
Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth YHWH require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy Elohim?
Colossians 3:11-15 (( and Pastor Herky, I have never forgot the lesson on picturing these items to put on like we would our watch or jacket or whatever item of clothing))
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Messiah is all, and in all.
Put on therefore, as the elect of YHWH, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Messiah forgave you, so also do ye.
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
And let the peace of Elohim rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Just know that I know we are ECHAD or one in Messiah.
I love each and every one of you.
Edited to add: I have met a likeminded mom and she had this to say, "We also believe that Christ did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. That does not negate the presence of the Law. His earthly ministry upheld the law and stressed the importance of having the Law written upon our hearts. The Christian cannot live a lawless life. However, we believe that Christ fulfilled all of the ceremonial laws..."
Right on sister!
