Thoughts

I recently watched a DVD called Be Fruitful and Multiply and one of the ladies said something profound:
"When I go somewhere and women sit around asking each other, 'how many children do you have?' and if a person responds with a small number (say one like I have) the women start whispering amongst themselves that perhaps she has a problem (think like Job's friends) and I want to scream at them to stop playing these games asking how many children each one of us has. What are we competing for? Are we competing over children? What kind of competition is that?"

I'd like to add our petty competitions over what we wear and what we eat and etc etc etc

And earlier this evening I was reading this book and a line stood out to me:
"Children are a gift, not a right."

Matthew 15:21-28
Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

I know HE is willing but this passage spoke something to me... as if HE was testing her to see if she really wanted her daughter to be healed and really believed that HE was the one who could heal her. It's like when HE asks the Pharisees a bunch of questions and they don't answer correctly, if only they had answered correctly, they too could have experienced the TRUTH....where as even this, not a sheep of Israel lady was given a reply that someone who didn't really want to know or want help would just kick the dust and walk away thinking they tried their best...no she didn't settle for that...she had the right comeback and her request was granted.

Also it's an another example, like with the woman at the well, that yes HE came to be the way the truth and the life for all people

Matthew 20:19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

In My Bible the word is not gentiles but Goyim which can be translated as gentiles sure but also nations ... and this would be all nations .... it is time we stop trying to blame this people group or that people group for Yeshua's death and resurrection but realize that each one of us had a part in it. HE lay down HIS life and raised it up again because it was the only way to redeem us. For all have sinned ....notice it says all .... whether or not a person wants to admit it and accept the plan of redemtion and atonement that has been provided is up to them but Behold HE stands at the door and knocks. and we only love HIM because HE first loved us. Thank You Yeshua!
