Choose you this day

Blessing or curse?

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

When was this law of sin and death given?

Genesis 2:17
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

James 1:15
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Deuteronomy 28:1-2
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

verses 3-14 lists the blessings for obedience

and vice versa verse 15:
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: verses 16-68 elaborates

SO it has always been a simple choice between two options .... obey and be blessed or disobey and be cursed. Seems simple enough.

Course we humans do mess up and Praise Yah HE is not surprised and not sweating what to do with us.
I John 2:1
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Joshua 24:14-15
Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Hi there!

Tonight I discovered a comment you'd left on my blog in early December, and I replied to it there... but here it is for you here since you likely won't go back and check!

Thank you for the comment! If you ever have any further questions about a home study or otherwise, I'm pretty much an open book, here. :)

Also, I'm intrigued by your blog here, and will be back! (But I've promised to watch a movie with my husband so not right now!)
