Glory of God - says people don't understand when they passively say, "the glory was in that service." He said no it was not or you'd be blinded. The WORD says HIS Glory is light and in HIM there is no darkness. Amen. That even the sun has dark spots. Revelations 1:12-16 12And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. HE desires to reveal HIS glory to us and dwell with us in HIS glory. Said when Joshua saw HIM it wasn't in HIS full glory, neither did Jacob when he wrestled with HIM.... The speaker said could you imagine a father who always has to hide himself from his children...only able to speak to them from behind a curtain, not able to embrace them. Revelation 22:4 - And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 2 Corinthians 6:16b - as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. We need to be holy to see God. The speaker was upset that there are so many easy sermons and not enough sanctification and holiness being taught. Which he said he will go more into in the coming sessions..... Stay tuned. My question was: In the garden did Adam and Eve get to see HIM in HIS Full Glory? the conclusive answer was since it said the cool of the evening - hence it would be starting to get dark or already be- and they at that time were without sin, then yes, it is possible... Pastor's MIL mentioned her DH's thought - they say nuclear blast can melt flesh but he envisions the Glory of the Lord melting the flesh of the wicked. Have anything to add? I added a new book - 7 Biblical Truths You won't hear in church...have read the intro and first chapter and so far I like it, except the reference to r.c. sproul - have no idea why the "fascination" some people have with that whacko...I tried to read thru one of his toughest question/answer books...but just couldn't do it, figured the guy was a whack job.
