what I've learned from Hebrew viewpoint classes

Paul never said we shouldn't adopt Jewish custom. He was a Jew and he kept all the feasts and Sabbath. In Acts 15 and other places where he says to abstain from idols, fornication and things strangled with blood he was summing up Torah as did the Messiah with the 2 greatest commandments. Paul was saying not to burden the new Believers with everything because they will read/hear the Torah in synagogue every Sabbath and will learn/pick it up by the by.

True physical circumcision was no longer a requirement to show you had been grafted/adopted into the Judaic family because it's circumcision of the heart. So there is physical Jews and then there's is spriritual Jews but either way we are adopted into the Family of God and when a child is adopted into a family, there is no difference in the parents eyes, that child is as though it came from their flesh and all the family customs now rightfully belong to the grafted in child. Which is why Torah, feasts, Sabbath are not burdensome obligations but rather lovely gifts that we get to keep/guard/observe/remember.

the only thing Yeshua did away with was the need to sacrifice animals for remission of sins. HE was/is the once for all sacrifice.

Of course as a woman, I can't keep laws that pertain to a man, that's absurd LOL and vice versa. Like men don't have to observe the if you just had a baby boy don't go out and about for 40 days and for just having a girl 80 days as men don't give birth to babies ((well at least science hasn't tried this yet, after all isn't that old saying if men had the babies we'd be extinct or something, LOL))

I get really upset when i read people say Paul and Yeshua said we don't have to regard what God told Moses and the Israelites in the desert anymore...and act like Jews are in the wrong. They were given Torah to teach us. All through the OT we see people like Ruth a moabite coming to the Jewish faith and that's what they were to do. Of course they mostly kept it to themselves. Then comes Yeshua, forgiveness and the great commision and Paul comes along and carries it on past Israel while other disciples wanted it to only be for the Jews.

After all I read on all these homemakery typers blogs that being submissive to their husbands is their protection...so is submitting to Yeshua's instruction and example to walk out Torah. It's a boundary and instruction manual for living life in this flesh and this fallen world

No we are not saved by keeping Torah but I can remember thinking after I got saved now what am I to do? How can I know I'm not doing something wrong? etc. Our God has thought of everything. How to show us we are sinners and need saving and then also how to live after we get saved. What a great and almighty God we serve!

ok that was long, forgive me if you already knew all this.
