Chapter 2 -- thoughts
Glad to see she also recognizes Acts 10:9-16 as NOT being about eating pork and shellfish. Rather that the gospel is to be told to the goyim as well as the Israelites.
Mark 7:9
And HE said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of G-D, that ye may keep your own tradition.
the author says the following:
How much priority have we given our man-made laws and traditions over the instructions of
G-D's Word?
A true worshiper will embrace the Truth of G-D's Word over man's traditions in every area.
Matthew 15:3, 6b, 9
But HE answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of G-D by your tradition?
Thus have ye made the commandment of G-D of none effect by your tradition.
But in vain they do worship ME, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
The power of man's traditions have been one of G-D's greatest enemies.
Who do we fear and desire to please, man or G-D?
What do we obey, G-D's Word or the traditions of men?
Psalm 149:3-4
Let them praise HIS name in the dance: let them sing praises unto HIM with the timbrel and harp.
For the L-RD taketh pleasure in HIS people: HE will beautify the meek with salvation.
Hebrews 13:8
Yeshua Messiah the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
ok back to me:
this can be applied to so much more than just why dancing is pleasing to G-D as long as it's for HIM ... how about 12/25 and good/palm weekend in spring and 10/31 and even day of the sun worship...
Why we thought we could take such filthy, defiled days and stamp holy over them I'll never understand nor do I want to hear from you what gibberish you've been taught from parents/pastors as a rebuttal.
Deuteronomy 12:29-32
When the L-RD thy G-D shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;
Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
Thou shalt not do so unto the L-RD thy G-D: for every abomination to the L-RD, which HE hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.
What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
You can not make something profane holy
don't worship false gods and don't falsely worship the one true G-D
