John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
We had all 8 lights last night after being able to come home from spending the day at my sisters and the evening still there with my husband's sister and her husband and his family. About 17 people in all.
Dh's sister and her DH have been here since 12/08 and leave 12/14 .... so today and tomorrow should be more late nights just visiting with them.
I think tonight as a nice surprise I am going to get my SIL's fave rangoon's from a restaurant up the street from my apartment and take them over for our "girls only" night. She's been talking about them all week.
Edited 12.20.07: Well it turned out the rangoon recipe is not like she remembered, but other people ate them up.
A cute card passed around at Shabbat Service 12.14.07 said "Count on a friendly people to hold a celebration that last eight days"
My sister got me a Hanukkah card as opposed to the xmess cards, very sweet of her. It has Snoopy on the front, of course she loves Snoopy, and it says "Do I wish you a happy Hanukkah?" and inside says "You bet your latkes I do!" :-)

I wanted to tell you that I finally mailed your gift card. I'm so completely embarrassed that it took me soooo long. Oh, my. All I can say is that I'm sorry I was so late in getting it in the mail. BUT, it's on its way now :) Hope you enjoy it.
