I wanted to let you all be aware of something I learned 12.14.07 from a public school teacher in my state of MO. During this month the children in the elementary school he teaches at are being taught about the winter solstice (sp?) - YEAH that's skeery!

Wow today the guy who wrote the above document also said 3 profound things
#1 - Paganism is not the worship of false gods, rather it is the false worship of GOD and that family traditions are what start paganism - the 3 big pyramids in Egypt were a memorial to Ham, Egypt and Cush .... but somehow instead of worshiping Ham's God (Yah), the people started worshipping their forefathers and we get this ra business.
#2 - What is blasphemy (that unpardonable sin)? It's saying I acknowledge YOU exist but you are of little value to me. It's not being angry with God, you think HE can't handle someone being mad at HIM? ReRead the Psalms written by David because I am reading that book this month and I see many a time where David cries out angrily at God and yet we know David to be a man after God's own heart.
#3 - contextualization is a bad thing. We can't take a Hebrew document and try to Englishize it and put it into our cultural context because if we do then so do the other 70 nation groups (see Genesis chapter 10) and then we have 70 versions of the Gospel....it was only given in one context, Hebrew or Judaic. Put new light on the believing a different Gospel than the one the Apostles taught doesn't?
#b - ok and one more thing just for laughs .... He told us this morning if you don't Believe that the first commandment is Yah telling us, "I am the LORD" then the rest of the "10" don't apply to you so you can say you're an evolutionist or whatever. And evolotionist say it's ok to kill someone off if they are a determent(sp?) to civilization as a whole...so then we could pick off mrs i wanna be prez in 08 ..... one person in the class said if that's true than you just persuaded me to change my beliefs in favor of evolutionism ... LOL LOL LOL was the reaction!!!
