I'm still sad .. just wanting to interject that
Shabbat is Shabbat .... just because Yeshua was willing to save lives on Shabbat doesn't nullify Shabbat observance. It's ok to do good on Shabbat.
Many of the Hebrew blessings/prayers have the phrase "sancitfied us by Your commandments".
I get sick and tired of hearing that the law is how we know we are sinners and that it's good for nothing else. It is our schoolmaster in every sense of the word. Shows us where we err but also we can do all things via Yeshua who is our strength. Take up our cross and follow HIM ... HE kept Torah, if we study HIS life so closely that we "wanna be mistaken for Jesus" we will do the same.
The commandments in Torah are not burdensome...change your stinking thinking and view them with a transformed mind as Romans 12:2 talks about and you will understand.
We think hair and dress is what seperates us from the world ((these things have there place as well )) yet it's really obedience unto Yeshua who said:
"If ye love me, keep my commandments." -- John 14:15
again HIS commandments are the same ones G-D gave to Moses to give to the people.

Well said. Many blessings.
I am enjoying the Torah class. Learning alot.
I must say, I absolutely love taking a day off every week. I strongly encourage everyone to do it.
The other Biblical practice that we have found incredibly freeing is the "party tithe" (Deuteronomy 14:22-26). Before, I couldn't justify eating out or buying gifts, but now that we've started setting aside a tenth just to "rejoice before the Lord" with, life has been so much freer and happier, and more full of joy.
