Do you hear that?

I think it was 300's AD that the Bible we have was canonized and let's face it Paul was a very smart Rabbi ... so it was deemed his midrashes on the weeks Torah Portions and his answer letters were superb enough to be included in that but Maimonides was also a learned scholar and he said something during this season that has been handed down and I wanted to share it with you:


"Awake, you sleepers, from your sleep!
Rouse yourselves you slumberers, out of
your slumber! Examine your deeds, and
turn to God in repentance. Remember
your Creator, and don’t be like those who
are caught up in the daily round, losing
sight of eternal truth.
Don’t waste your year in vain pursuits
that neither profit nor save. Look closely
at yourselves. Abandon your evil ways
and thoughts, and return to the Lord, so
that He might have mercy on you!”

This was not meant as a downer post but just a look how YHWH works among HIS people post because it being Rosh HaShanah and all we are joyous and giving no room for the slanderer to ruin our new year in it's very beginning.
