SO today a neighbor lady was telling me that voting for someone, anyone even on a local level, that is for globalism, patriot act, real ID, etc means you partake in the repercussions that will result....but by voting for the constitution party candidate, even if they don't win, you are telling G-D you don't agree with what's about to "go down" and HE will protect you.
Anyone else hear/understand this?
thank you

I've never read anything about that in scripture, but I follow her logic and out of mere morality couldn't vote for those people, either.
I have been going back and forth on this in my own mind, not because I believe it will give me any additional protection but because I hate voting against someone. I want to be FOR someone. Honestly, I have read good arguments on both sides of voting for McCain or voting for someone who better reflects your values... I haven't made a final decision yet, a constitutionalist or the republican party. If I wasn't terrified of Obama it wouldn't even be a thought for me, its just I see it spinning out of control SO fast with him...Fortuanalty, I live in a red state so really it doesn't matter. I feel like I have a little bit more freedom than if I lived in a swing state.
I haven't heard anyone say anything like this. But I do understand it. I myself cannot bring myself to vote for someone with "values" that go against the scriptures. Right now, it's Monday evening and I still haven't decided if I will even bother voting. Probably not. I know entirely too much about the process. If I was still ignorant, I would be much more excited, I guess you could say, about the election.
OK, I did some reading on 3rd party candidates and it didn't take 5 minutes to find things I completely disagreed with them on. Red flag type things. I think it is an indication of how far down the road we are. Even the 3rd party candidates are off. I visited Stepahnie's blog and she had a post about not being a part of any denomination and I feel like I could transfer her sentiment to politics. I guess I'm what the pundits are calling "disinfranchised". I will vote. Men died to give me that right and I would never disregard that. The ideals behind the concept are noble. But, I don't think there is anyone who can pull us back from the brink.
