Romans 2:28-29
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
((and if you auto-think the letter of the law kills but the spirit gives life as in II Corinthians 3:6, then know this -- 2 edged sword, cut to kill and cut to heal or death to violators and life to obeyers. Understanding comes with obedience. The Law is not a burden when you have Yeshua. You want to read HIS Word and find out what HE wants you to do and you want to please HIM. Also they say 613 commands in Torah yet there are 1050 commands in the NT so which is more "legalistic"?))
2 Cor. 3:6 -with my JR instructor's amplifications in italics "...for the LETTER (of the LAW) kills (those who violate it), but the SPIRIT (of the LAW) gives life (and liberty to those who observe it)."
