SO I have not had a j.o.b. outside the home since end of December '06 now. Some may think I am crazy but I know it is the Lord's will for me to be in the home more than I am out of it.
On 10/31/06 my DH had a job interview with a local railroad company. The group interview laid out all the bad aspects of the job, told them to go call anyone that needed to be in on the decision making process and then decide whether to pursue the test that had to be passed in order to get a one on one interview. DH decided to stay and see if he could even pass the preliminary test. He did and interviewed that day. He was told it could take several weeks to hear back from them. Within 2 weeks he got a letter saying there were more qualified people that day. He heard from someone at his current work however that it had something to do with him not being a "minority" and that is what they were looking to hire. So we were prepared to move on...DH applied at the local PD and/or made plans to move out of state if that fell through.
1/10/07- DH's cell phone rings, he is unable to answer it. Immediately the home phone rings. It's the railroad asking why he hasn't scheduled his physical test and strengths/abilities test and that he was due to start work on Feb 20th pending those test results. It was the first we had heard from the company since Nov. 06. They said we should have received a packet via fed ex...so they "resent" it. DH took his tests the following Wednesday and then we waited to get the results...about 4 weeks...and the day of Friday 2-2-07 when DH absolutely needed to give his 2 week notice by, they said yes he was officially hired.
DH was so happy to not have to work at wal-mart anymore...he had been there 6.5 years and they dragged him along every 6 months with promises of getting into the next batch of assistant managers ($40 grand a year+ positions) and each time they either decided not to train anymore that season or use the ones that were extras from the last batch of interviews. But his bosses were to chicken to tell that to his face, they just dragged him along and he'd find out from the grapevine the classes already started and he wasn't included. IN our area employers should be so blessed to have my DH work for them...he doesn't play "hooky", doesn't do illegal substances, and is a clean cut guy. He was always willing to work extra shifts or switch with others for their vacations to be covered...and like I said he only ever took his 2 weeks paid vacation a year....only one time can I remember him calling in sick...and you know he must have been really sick to do that.
2-20-07 - DH went to his first day. The first 3 weeks are classroom training. They have been told at the end is a test, if you don't pass...no more job. Then 16 weeks of OJT (on the job training) if you don't get it in that time, again you can be let go. Then 3-6months of probation...and possibly an overnight schedule with on call 24/7...you have to answer your phone when they call, not answering is worse than answering and not being available. I think they have a few passes but are suppose to literally work their shift plus on call 24/7.
They do put aside income for retirement for him and half for me....too cool. They said it is because I, the wife, have to put up with a lot of him being gone and practically raising a family by myself. This job involves travel and he could be gone for months at a time...not sure how that will work with trying to have more children...
Speaking of which I am really down on that lately. I so was hoping I might be pregnant. A couple of weeks ago, my nose was super sensitive and I was queasy. And then I had a couple days of light brown spotting and then nothing...til a week later and I had a little bit more redder spotting..then nothing...then just this past Wednesday and Yesterday I passed some rather large clots...but none so far today.... other than my tummy feels like I ate a bunch of raw cookie dough...a sweet/sour after taste in the mouth/esophogus but the tummy feels so heavy and sour....
I so need to go on a low carb way of eating...but it can be hard. I am trying to plan meals that are all LC friendly, also hard to find stuff that is simple and uses everyday grocery store items.
DH really wants another child too since being around his friends new baby boy. And of course DS is always ready for a sibling. His aunt (DH's sister) told him to ask Jesus every morning, please can I have a brother and sister? thank you. Which she is referring to the lady who kept bugging the judge until he finally did something. And others want to throw ask, seek, knock, whatever you ask in MY NAME will be done...in my face..and others..you have not because you ask amiss that you may spend it on wrong stuff....so which is it folks...Does the LORD just not care about this in my life but HE was willing to die for me that I might have everlasting life? I see HIM come through all the time on what in comparison to this longing for more children desire, seem like tiny matters...ie...please help me find this or help us make it financially etc....I know the Lord loves me, but I do get really blue when I think HE has been silent on this matter for over 4.5 years now.

What a blessing that you DH got the job!
I had run across your blog a few weeks ago and popped in again today.
In regards to trying to get pregnant, the symptoms your described actually sounded like you were. I passed a couple clots with one of my pregnancies that actually ended up being placenta previa. It happened the same way, I woke up, passed the clots and then nothing else. We went into the ER thinking I was having another miscarriage and they found a heartbeat.
But whether you are or not, have you tried taking Natural Vitamin E? It is supposed to be the fertility vitamin (you take 400 IU daily and increase your dosage gradually until you are taking 800-1200 IU daily). One lady said that if she took it she carried full term, if she didn't she miscarried. I have another friend who hasn't been able to conceive and she found out that she had low progesterone levels. Now she is rubbing the progesterone cream on her thighs to treat it.
You may know all this, but I didn't want to assume that.
I'll keep you in prayer!
Heather
