Movies I watched today....

well I watched one and 5 chapters out of 11 on the other so far....

not really movies so much as documentaries....

Biblical Collector Series has some interesting ones...today's selection was Noah's Ark (of course I would have a soft spot for anything pertaining to Noah...)

they said something about adam's body being on the ark and also several people thru the years have seen the ark itself, one boy even walked around on top of it in 1902...I need to look that up...ok I did... and an earthquake on mt. ararat has split the ark in 1840...but wow, to stand up that many years.....talk about "they don't make water craft these days like they used to" eh?!

of course scientist try to disprove the flood and/or that 8 people and all those animals could survive such a storm....ye of little faith...in action.... ok on to the next topic

the next one I am watching is from the library and it was put out by the history channel called the Exodus decoded....what's interesting so far is the dates...pharoah Ahmoshe (brother of Moses)....hyksos may = Israelites...and a dig in Avaris that gets planted over every so many years because they don't want anyone finding out the Biblical linkage (this may be the land the Israelites dwelt in while in Egypt or Goshen)

then they started talking about a volcano eruption in Santorini (which the pool pictured around my weblog is a famous pool at a hotel in Santorini Greece...it's lovely from the pictures of that countryside and I'd like to see it someday...) but they were trying to link some of the darkness and ash falling in Egypt as part of the plagues to this eruption that would have happened around the same time...and then starting on chapter 6 they will be talking about how the red sea actually parted....

but what I want to know is why do we have to have a scientific explaination for everything? Why can't we just believe YHWH did it? I know when I read the Word, I don't sit and try to scientifically try to figure out how something happened...maybe that's just me...childlike faith....

ok, well I have to work tomorrow, outside the home....so....just filling in for someone....tomorrow and mid-week also

One of my favourite quotes is:

The Titanic was made by professionals. The Ark was made by amatuers!
