I finally finished the Exodus Decoded...I found it interesting. If you decide to watch it, as with all things, be a sieve.
so onto the topic at hand.
From Jan-May our schedule looked like this: http://homeschoolblogger.com/noahsmom/284668/
Over the summer it's been more like this: http://dawnescapes.blogspot.com/2007/06/summer-schedule-or-what-we-are-aiming.html
And now, since I start my last required class for my associates in accounting degree on 8/21....I am looking into more of a block schedule. One where I can know on what days I have certain things to do and also plug in those areas that are must, like Scripture study, home education, home keeping, and exercising...oh and the family would probably appreciate meals and clean clothes...LOL.
So far I know that we have the following to be done everyday that will require leaving the apartment:
1st day - Intro to Jewish Roots class at 11am and this looks like a good day to grocery shop
2nd day - exercise (drive to sister's house to use tread climber) and stop at the library on the way home
3rd day - college class 12:30pm-3:15pm and the first one of the month a Torah Class to attend and the second one of the month homeschool group meeting
4th day - exercise and take DS to Awanas
5th day - take DS to gymnastics 3pm (will be trampoline class starting in September) and Home Church 7pm
6th day - third one of the month Shabbat Service with my Intro to Jewish Roots class
7th day - none on a weekly basis, unless family obligations arise (weddings, birthdays, etc)
Another thing I know is that 7am sounds like a good daily wake up time.
I can't decide if I want my personal time in the Word to be first thing in the morning or sometime later in the day.
Also, since I have naturally wavy/curly hair I tend to not wash it every day so I only need to straighten it 2-3 times a week....but with the above outings planned I am trying to come up with a way to stay "smelling good" and yet not have to rush to get my hair to air dry so I can straighten it right before I need to be somewhere.
I do enjoy using the treadclimber but more and more I just want a routine I can do at home, that doesn't require drive time....Although in the 2.5 weeks my sister has had the machine, I have used it 9 times and will again today...and she has used it at least once that I know of....oh and I've lost 4 pounds just by exercising an average of 90 minutes a week....so far.
So we have the above outings on various days and the following everyday needs:
get ready (this includes all hygiene one does in the am routine) 30-45 minutes
make/eat breakfast 30-45 minutes
home education (allow at least 2 hours)
at least one load of laundry 5 to start washer, 30 minutes to wash, 5 to put in dryer, 45 min, reboot (yes our dryer takes 2 dry cycles, maybe because it's apartment size?), 15-20 minutes to fold/hang & put away
daily cleaning duties 60-75 minutes
make/eat dinner 30-45 minutes
playtime w/DS varies
free reading w/DS - 15 minutes and build up
mom's learning time (daily Word reading, study for class, TorahClass.com, etc) 30-45 minutes
quiet/rest time - at least 30 minutes...good training that life isn't always go, go, go
pc time - limited unless all daily duties are done (this and the above could be combined) 20 +/- minutes
make/eat supper 45-60 minutes
family time varies
DS pm routine 30 minutes
relationship time with DH varies
my pm routine 20-30 minutes
ok well I am still thinking...gotta run
