Just checking something out here

Colossians 1:24-2:3 (King James Version)

24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: {was taught in Hebrew this should be court, as the first definition of church is actually court - where by it's like with tribes, the head father aka the oldest father who should be the wisest, will make all decisions} {behind of the afflictions of Christ, other translations read what is lacking, as if what Y'shua did was not sufficient and that's what it sounds like if you just read this starting at this point....but rather it is to complete, not the sufferings of Y'shua for our sins, but that which all Believers are called to suffer for the court and truth see Romans 8:18 and II Timothy 3:12} {MH says of II Timothy - The more fully we know the doctrine of Christ, as taught by the apostles, the more closely we shall cleave to it. When we know the afflictions of believers only in part, they tempt us to decline the cause for which they suffer. A form of godliness, a profession of Christian faith without a godly life, often is allowed to pass, while open profession of the truth as it is in Jesus, and resolute attention to the duties of godliness, stir up the scorn and enmity of the world. As good men, by the grace of God, grow better, so bad men, through the craft of Satan, and the power of their own corruptions, grow worse. The way of sin is down-hill; such go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. Those who deceive others, deceive themselves, as they will find at last, to their cost. The history of the outward church, awfully shows that the apostle spake this as he was moved by the Holy Ghost. }

25Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

26Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: {that's all believers not just those who have done great things the rest of the world knows about....don't let your right hand know what your left hand is doing...}

27To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

28Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: {Christ is a greek term to mean god, but they added that to the end of all their mythological god's names so....Y'shua would be better here or even Messiah}

29Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

{Matthew Henry says of this the above verses: Both the sufferings of the Head and of the members are called the sufferings of Christ, and make up, as it were, one body of sufferings. But He suffered for the redemption of the church; we suffer on other accounts; for we do but slightly taste that cup of afflictions of which Christ first drank deeply. A Christian may be said to fill up that which remains of the sufferings of Christ, when he takes up his cross, and after the pattern of Christ, bears patiently the afflictions God allots to him. Let us be thankful that God has made known to us mysteries hidden from ages and generations, and has showed the riches of his glory among us. As Christ is preached among us, let us seriously inquire, whether he dwells and reigns in us; for this alone can warrant our assured hope of his glory. We must be faithful to death, through all trials, that we may receive the crown of life, and obtain the end of our faith, the salvation of our souls. }

Colossians 2
1For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; {I find this funny because every thing I read about the council of laodicea in the 300's AD is a horrible tragedy the way they twisted things....no wonder Paul was so concerned for them, maybe he could see a couple hundred years in the future and knew what they would become...} {In the year 339, it was considered a criminal offense to convert to Judaism, because before this, the Gentiles had the freedom to celebrate God's Holy Days and did sometimes at the risk of persecution - they had the freedom to do so, no one made them, they chose to do it or chose not to do it until 339 when it was considered a criminal offense to participate-. Several decades later, the synod of laodicea ruled against Christians feasting with Jews, classifying those who did as heretics.....hmmm who were the laodiceans??? I found one place that said it was a greek church and another that said asia minor was in a roman province...so????} {even more disturbing, all say the laodicea council just made the final selections for which books of the Bible should be in there and re-affirmed the stuff from the nice council...well #6 canon from Nicaea says and I quote" The ancient customs of Egypt, Libya and Pentapolis shall be maintained, according to which the bishop of Alexandria has authority over all these places since a similar custom exists with reference to the bishop of Rome. Similarly in Antioch and the other provinces the prerogatives of the churches are to be preserved. In general the following principle is evident: if anyone is made bishop without the consent of the metropolitan, this great synod determines that such a one shall not be a bishop. If however two or three by reason of personal rivalry dissent from the common vote of all, provided it is reasonable and in accordance with the church's canon, the vote of the majority shall prevail. " -- what??? after the ancient customs of egypt? now if you know your Bible you will note that Egypt is a type of world and we are to be seperate}

2That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

3In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Moving on

Psalm 62:6-7, 9 is the response said aloud? by the people in attendance...

6He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
7In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

9Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity

{although let it be noted that it's not read the same way as above}

Luke 6:6-11
6And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. {my thought, was this the weekly Sabbath or one of the many Sabbaths associated with the Feasts?} {I learned yesterday that even the oral traditions are restated in the book of Mark}

7And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.

8But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

9Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it? {Y'shua was without sin because it is good to do good and save life everyday}

10And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

11And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
