Dake Annotated Reference Bible -
I am not liking this bible. I disagree with many of their notes. and like an idiot, I had MRS. DH"S name engraved on it.

I still plan to use it chapter by chapter on my next time thru the Bible and read every note....and keep a notebook of what I disagree with and proof to back it up

She talks of teaching children Bible doctrines ( I didn't think it was called doctrine in the Bible).

On one she says people falsely presume there is good in every man. I disagree with her if she is trying to say there isn't some good in everyone....because even Charlotte Mason says children are born with the ability to do both right and wrong....the problem is flesh and it wants what is easy and best for it...like no patience want it now, etc....which is why children need training or they will go with the flesh as it is a stronger desire than that of what is right...until Y'Shua enters the picture and with HIS Grace obeying HIM and what is right becomes the drive. Also in TorahClass Lesson 1 it says doctrine is not scripture, its our denominational beliefs and rulings and interpretations of scipture...it's the same idea with Hebrew tradtion. (think fiddler on the roof) Also TorahClass Lesson 6 talks about how man does have an inclination to do good and bad with the capability to choose. I suggest going to torachclass.com looking for studies and lessons and reading the texts.

another thing good old Ruth says in the matter of doctrine on future - churches can differ more on future events than elsewhere, because prophecy is not entirely clear until it is fulfilled.

my question- really? how did certain peoples know to be looking for the Messiah who had just been born then? Like Anna and Simon and the 3 wise men (who may have been the ones to mention it to that mean old ruler who tried to then snuff out Y'Shua's life) after all until HE was born, they only had prophecies about where and when to be looking for HIM...but they understood it perfectly.
