If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
Proverbs 18:20-21
A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. ((think Yah created all we see by HIS Word))
**I skimmed through Naturally Healthy Pregnancy for the info relevent to me and I like her points on eating clean meats. Hmmm I wonder if she gets hate mail saying "are you trying to keep commandments as a way to obtain salvation?" She probably doesn't as do many of my fellow Believers who have begun to see that in Acts when Paul says 3 times to abstain from idols, fornication, things strangled, and from blood, that Paul was saying this because as new Believers they don't need to be burdened with everything the minute they get saved. That during the course of the year and those to follow of their earthly life they would hear/read Torah weekly with the rest of the Believers and can learn as they go. (Acts 15:19-21, 28-30 & Acts 21:24-26)
She says the above nowdays is being said to not apply because the early church was different than today and they were only trying not to offend the Jews. She says we should also not try to offend them today and possibly keep them from the Gospel. Her concern is that if we choose to avoid trying to follow some of the NT admonitions in addition to throwing out the OT admonitions, where would we stop? ((I say good point))
She says of the passage in Romans 14 about the weaker brother only eating herbs and such that maybe that is referring to weaker in health because many illnesses are helped by converting to a vegan diet.
She says we do well to follow the dietary law as a guideline for healthy AND as a sign of our submission to Yah's will for our bodies.
She goes onto say that as Paul so aptly put it in Romans 6:14-16 Grace is not a license to disregard God's law. Grace is being out from under sin's dominion so we now desire God's law. Our desire to follow the law(Torah) of God come from a desire to yield ourselves unto our master, the Yah of all creation.**
