3-8-07 God's House What does it mean to believe? The opposite of believe is disobediance. he said the church has muddled it into just being about belief and not obediance.- ooh good. Said it's not just about praying belief- cool. 1 Peter 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, Hebrews 3:18-19 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. The words Awesome, Marvelous, Wonderful...are only used in Scripture to describe God or His attributes. Not our hamburgers, favorite movies, etc...- talk about convicting and I know I have heard that before, but still....must be hard headed... In the DVD he says once while praying the Lord told him Judas was not in heaven...but the other place but go read ....hey I didn't say I agreed 100% with this guy...just sharing from the DVD what he said that I took notes on...and this stuck out to me...some would say it was a "red" flag. Exodus 19:10-11 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. Consecrate means to sanctify or set apart. I delivered you out of Egypt, now you get Egypt out of you. Many people cringe when they hear sanctification because they think it means they have to give up something. Esther gladly gave up the everyday life for intimacy with the king. We too should "wash our clothes". Then he used the dates 28 or 29 AD as being when Jesus ascended to heaven. To reference the 3rd day... as in Exodus 19:10-11 and 2 Cor. 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 1 Cor. 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 1 Thess. 4:3-8 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us His Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Hosea 6:1-3 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. He said something about Jesus not cleaning us but justification and sanctification being seperate...? John 13:8-10 8Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. 9Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. 10Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. He also said a funny. He said what if he introduced his wife as his breeder..ya know good stock as how he has 4 handsome sons, etc....he said some treat the Lord the same way...like a "genie in a bottle"... That part 2 was moving to me. What about you?
