double time.
Last week we had a 2 day break in the middle of the week for Rosh Ha Shannah and this week we are doubling up on weeks 14 and 15 to get things done faster. We will abstain from the tv/net and junk food for Yom Kippur but in order to take the entirety of Sukkot off, we will be having lessons time. We will pray that Yeshua the Messiah will be recognized as The Cohen Hagadol.
Then 10.13 we will start week 16 and then take all of Sukkot off from lessons and pick back up 10.23 and 24 by finishing week 16. Then the following week continue on with doubling up. That should place us starting Year 2 at AmbleSide by the first full week of the first month on the western calendar. I have explained to DS that we take different days off than most of his friends will and that we will just explain we follow G-D's calendar and not man's. I do want him to be on track month wise though in order to be done with studies early enough for the outrageously early graduation dates that homeschoolers hold ceremonies for. Of course that's years from now.
To honor Deuteronomy 31, on 10.18.08 during our Sukkot out-of-doors day, we will read the book of DeVarim (Deuteronomy) with our Torah Study/Hav Dalah group.
Oh and would you believe I have 3 invites for break-the-fast on 10.9 .... decisions, decisions
